4th House: Groundbreaking

On March 22nd, 2018 community members and supporters of St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) gathered at the SAYS campus to celebrate the groundbreaking of our 4th therapeutic group home. This new home will allow us to provide specialized services and care to an additional 12-17 youth annually that have suffered trauma from abuse and/or neglect. 

The ceremony was lead by Board Member, Robin Burchfield, who welcomed attendees and recognized honored guests such as The Hutson Family, Representative Cyndi Stevenson, The Bailey Group, and Ameris Bank. Updates and well wishes were shared by Senator Travis Huston, Board Member & Alumni Michael Salvato, and Executive Director Schuyler Seifker. Annette Danielson of SACSPA performed 'Jericho' alongside our boys and long time supporter Reverend Bullock closed the ceremony with a blessing. 

After the ceremony, guests were invited to sign a memorial plaque created by SAYS supporter Michael Stapleton before receiving enthusiastic guided tours of each home by our very own SAYS kiddos.
